Year after year, American Cruise Lines has been the most awarded river cruise line in the U.S. And now, Dream Tours To Go is pleased to announce our first tour in the United States will be a cruise on American Cruise Lines. Our cruise begins in Portland Oregon and travels 9 days/8 nights, almost 500 miles, up the Columbia and Snake Rivers to Clarkston, Washington. Our boat, The American West, is a stern paddle-wheeler that is both luxurious and reminiscent of a bygone era. With only 110 passengers The American West provides an array of amenities: sun deck, three guest lounges, indoor fitness center (yea, really, just what I want to do on vacation) glass enclosed restaurant, onboard historian, enrichment lectures, live music & entertainment, and of course, world class cuisine. Dinners feature fresh coastal seafood and high-quality grass-fed beef. Complimentary wine and beer are provided during lunch and dinner plus a complimentary cocktail hour with full bar each evening before dinner. In the elegant restaurant you will enjoy views of the beautiful Pacific Northwest landscapes while being treated to menus tailored specifically to the region by our master chefs.
And That’s Just The Boat
The region, with its waterways lined by the tallest trees you can imagine, mountains that blend into the uninterrupted sky, and eagles soaring above you truly are a remarkable sight. The Columbia River combines natural beauty, cultural richness, historical significance, and power as it winds through the Pacific Northwest.
You will be amazed by the beautiful and ever-changing landscapes, including the Columbia River Gorge, Hells Canyon, Multnomah Falls, and Mount St. Helens. Soak in the awe-inspiring backdrop to your journey, Mount Hood, and learn about incredible engineering feats such as the Cascade Locks and Bonneville Dam. Led by local guides, discover the captivating stories behind iconic landmarks like Mount St. Helens, renowned for its explosive 1980 eruption, and enjoy a tour and tasting at Maryhill Winery, one of Washington State's largest wineries. Watch as the scenery switches from the towering peaks of the Cascade Range to the misty veil of Multnomah Falls. The river is a beautiful combination of natural, cultural, geological and historical importance. The sound of the wind and water, the sight of mist rising off the surface, and the rhythm of the current all create a calming, immersive experience. And to add to this wonderful experience the weather in June is generally sunny and temperatures run from the mid 70’s to high 80’s.
